With Robert Lewandowski’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2021, Bayern Munich will need to start thinking about who will replace the Polish striker. The 32-year-old has been one of the best strikers in the world for the past few years, but his age is starting to become a factor. This season, Bayern has already started to look for his replacement by signing Joshua Zirkzee from Feyenoord. The 18-year-old will likely be backup to Lewandowski for the next few years, but he could be the long-term solution for the club.

This is a difficult question to answer as it is not clear who the Bayern Munich board will choose to replace the prolific striker.

Which player can replace Lewandowski?

Chelsea’s Timo Werner could be an ideal replacement for Lewandowski on a long-term basis. The German striker has been in excellent form for Chelsea this season, scoring 27 goals in all competitions. Werner has the pace and finishing ability to thrive in any team, and would be a great addition to any squad.

Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Memphis Depay are all in contention to be selected in place of the injured Ousmane Dembele for Barcelona’s upcoming games against Atletico Madrid, Getafe and Girona. All three players have been in good form of late and will be hoping to take advantage of Dembele’s absence to cement their place in the team.
